WORTH COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — John Hinderscheid, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Thielen Fausnaugh of Northwood, Iowa, have been identified as the victims killed in a Friday double-fatal vehicle crash in Worth County, Iowa.
Hinderscheid, 45, and 3-year-old Fausnaugh, were both killed in a multi-vehicle crash near Kensett, Iowa Friday night.

According to reports, Maggie Joe Harvey, 24, of Northwood, Iowa, was operating a Chrysler Pacifica on U.S. Highway 65 near Kensett, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 10:30 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Toyota Avalon operated by Hinderscheid.
An International semi-tractor operated by Dennis Stoneking, 62, of Northwood, then struck the Chrysler causing it to rollover eventually coming to a rest on its roof. The Avalon entered a culvert.
Hinderscheid was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fausnaugh, a passenger in the Chrysler, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Harvey was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
