FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Dana Walker Whitlow, of Hardy, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal vehicle crash in Franklin County.
Whitlow, 49, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Hardy Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Whitlow was operating a Jeep Cherokee near her home on Truman Hill Rd, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 8 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Dodge 3500 Pickup truck hauling a trailer.
Whitlow was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The dodge driver was not injured in the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
