WAKE COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Franklin Lamon Jefferys, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal vehicle crash in Wake County.
Jefferys, 51, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Raleigh early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Jefferys was operating a vehicle on Barwell Road near Tomahawk Trail in Raleigh, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and flipped over multiple times.
Jefferys was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
