CULLMAN COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Timothy Wesley Mayer, of Hanceville, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal weekend motorcycle crash in Cullman County.
“Wesley” Mayer, 32, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Hanceville on Saturday.
According to reports, Mayer was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on CR-565 near CR-576 in Hanceville, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway sometime after midnight Saturday. The bike then made contact with an embankment before traveling into Marriott Creek.
The crash was not discovered until 8 p.m. Sunday night.
Mayer was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
