DAVIESS COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Christopher G. McCrady of Owensboro, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal vehicle crash in Daviess County.
Chris McCrady, 46, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Utica Thursday morning.
According to reports, McCrady was operating a pickup truck on US Highway 431 near McFarland Road/Morgan Lane in Utica, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then entered a culvert before coming into contact with a utility pole and a tree.
The vehicle then burst into flames.
McCrady was pronounced dead of blunt force and thermal injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
