RAY COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Michele L. LeMatty of Quincy, Illinois, and Randy D. Owens of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, have been identified as the victims in a Wednesday double-fatal vehicle crash in Ray County, Missouri.
LeMatty, 46, and Owens, 56, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in Ray County.
According to reports, LeMatty was operating a Buick Enclave on MO-10 in Ray County, when the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a Chevrolet S10 pickup truck operated by Owens. The pickup truck then exited the roadway and rolled over around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
