VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Nixolas Thomas, Sebring, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal motorcycle crash in Volusia County.
Thomas, 22, was killed early Tuesday in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 4 near Deltona.
According to reports, Thomas was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle on Interstate 4 near Saxon Boulevard in Deltona, when the bike came into contact with a Dodge Ram 1500 pulling a boat by a 46-year-old Lake Mary man. A semi-trailer and a Hyundai Elantra driven by a 71-year-old DeLand man then struck the motorcycle around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
No one else was injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Thomas was set to graduate from UCF in December. He was working to receive his commercial pilot license.
