KNOX COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Hayla Roark of Bruceville, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday morning fatal vehicle crash in Knox County.
Roark, 17, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Bruceville Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Roark was operating a vehicle on IN-67 near Water Tower Road in Bruceville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes round 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a truck.
A third vehicle then came into contact with Roark’s vehicle.
Roark was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The other two drivers were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
