FREDERICK COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Jordan Scott Maddocks, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a tractor-trailer Friday in Frederick County, Maryland.
Maddocks, 33, was killed when he exited a vehicle after making contact with a deer early Friday morning near Myersville.
According to report, Maddocks was operating a vehicle on Interstate 70 in Myersville, when the vehicle struck a deer. Maddocks then exited the vehicle when he was struck by a passing big-rig round 3 a.m. Friday.
Maddocks was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Three other people occupying the vehicle at the time of the collision were uninjured.
The tractor-trailer driver also was not injured.
