SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Kimberly Pigot, of Lindenhurst, New York, has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash Monday in Suffolk County.
Pigot, 31, was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening near Babylon.
According to reports, Pigott was operating a Mercury Mountaineer on Route 109 near Herzel Boulevard in Babylon, when the vehicle came into contact with a Jeep around 4:30 p.m. Monday. The Mountaineer rolled over in the collision.
The Jeep driver, Gilberto Diaz, 56, of Babylon, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Pigot was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
