LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — The Wendy Williams Show has officially been canceled after 13 years on-air.
The news of the cancellation comes after Williams vow to return.
The final episode of the daytime show will air on Friday, June 17.
“The final original episode of The Wendy Williams Show will air on Friday, June 17th, with a video tribute to the iconic host,” a spokesperson for the show told Deadline.
“The series comes to an end after 13 successful years in syndication.”
Back in February, Sherri Shepherd – who had frequently been filling in for Wendy – announced that she will be the host of a new talk show, Sherri.
It will replace The Wendy Williams Show this fall.
