LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Actress Lindsey Pearlman died of a suspected suicide, according to a family member. She was 43.
Pearlman, who played songwriter Diane Warren in the TV series “Selena,” was found unresponsive inside a vehicle at the base of popular L.A. hiking spot Runyon Canyon Park on Friday.
Pearlman, who also had roles in “Empire,” “General Hospital,” Chicago Justice” and “The Ms. Pat Show,” to name a few, was found dead Friday, 3 days after she went missing.
The cause of death has not been released, but Saturday Lindsey’s sister said on Twitter, “Please know that you are never truly alone,” as she posted the phone number to the National Suicide Hotline, reports TMZ.
Pearlman’s husband, Vance Smith, said, “The police found Lindsey. She’s gone. I’m broken.”
The family says to honor Lindsey by donating to the Sante d’Or, an L.A,-based animal rescue org.
