FLAGLER COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Jamey Jahiem Bennett, a former Flagler Palm Coast High School student, has been identified as the victim in an overnight shooting in Flagler County.
“JuJu” Bennett, 19, was fatally shot in Palm Coast early Saturday morning.
According to reports, a large number of people gathered in the area of Old Kings Road North near Palm Harbor Parkway, when shots were fired around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Police responded to an area near StorQuest Express on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, Bennett was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Bennett was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
