LICKING COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Jeffrey A. King, Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has been identified as the victim in a Monday morning fatal vehicle crash in Licking County, Ohio.
King, 37 was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Kirkersville on Monday.
According to reports, King was operating a Ram ProMaster Cargo Van on Interstate 70 near Kirkersville, when according to officials, he performed an improper lane change before coming into contact with a Chrysler 200, operated by Anthony McCartney, of Newark, Ohio, around 8:20 a.m. Monday.
The cargo van then exited the roadway before coming into contact with a bridge pillar for York Road.
King was pronounced deceased at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
McCartney was treated for minor injuries.
The cause crash remains under investigation.
