CHARLEVOIX COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Kate Leese and Adam Kendall of Beaver Island, and Mike Perdue of Gaylord, have been identified as three of five people involved in a quadruple-fatal plane crash Saturday in Charlevoix County.

Leese, 35, and 37-year-old Kendall, were both killed in a small plane crash near Beaver Island on Saturday. The couple’s 11-year-old daughter survived the crash and remains hospitalized in unknown condition. Perdue, 43, was also killed in the crash. The pilot, who was also killed, was not identified.

According to reports, the victims included a real estate agent and a couple who were planning to open a winery and vineyard in the area. Perdue was a real estate agent.

The plane went down west of Mackinaw City.

The twin-engine Britten-Norman plane was flying from Charlevoix on Michigan’s lower peninsula, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.

The FAA said it would take part in an investigation led by the National Transportation Safety Board.
