NEW LONDON COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Jacob Chapman and Tyler Graham, have been identified as the victims in a Friday double-fatal vehicle crash in New London County.
Chapman and Graham, both 18 and members of Western Connecticut State University’s Men’s Lacrosse Team, were killed in a single-vehicle crash that injured another teen near Colchester Friday.
According to reports, the teens were traveling in a vehicle on Connecticut 354 in Colchester, when the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway on Friday. The vehicle then made contact with a guardrail and a grouping of trees before traveling down an embankment and coming to a rest.
The vehicle may have been attempting to pass another vehicle when the crash occurred.
Chapman and Graham were both killed in the crash. Passenger, 19-year-old Trey Massaro, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
