POLK COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Cave, of Lakeland, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday morning vehicle crash in Polk County.
Cave, 39, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Lakeland early Saturday morning.
According to reports, Cave was operating a BMW on Interstate 4 near FL-33 in Lakeland, when the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3:50 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over multiple times.
The BMW may have been attempting to avoid another vehicle when the crash occurred.
Cave was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
