AL Woman Lawanna Jones ID’d As Victim In Thursday Decatur Hummer H3 Crash

MORGAN COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Lawanna Lindley Jones, of Hartselle, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday single-vehicle crash in Morgan County.

Jones, 46, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Decatur late Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, Jones was operating a Hummer H3 on Shoal Creek Road near Spring Valley Trail Road in Decatur, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
