ST JOSEPH COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Kaneisha Akins, of Toledo, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night motorcycle crash in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
Akins, 45, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near South Bend Saturday night.
According to reports, Akins was traveling on a Harley Davidson operated by 45-year-old Columbus, Ohio man, Terrence Foster, on the Indiana Toll Road near South Bend, when the bike experienced a tire failure. The bike then exited the roadway.
Akins was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Foster was transported to an area hospital with injuries considered not to be life threatening.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
