PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Andrea Hamilton has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Saturday night by a suspected DUI driver in Pinellas County, Florida.

Hamilton, 47, was killed after she was struck by a vehicle, operated by 55-year-old Mark Walters.

According to reports, Hamilton was on-foot in the area of Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island, when she was struck by vehicle operated by Walters around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators determined that Hamilton was walking on the sidewalk when Walters exited the roadway and struck her.

Hamilton was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

Walters reportedly showed signs of impairment during the investigation and is charged with one count of DUI manslaughter. He has been booked into the Pinellas County Jail with a bond set at $20,000.

Walters has been arrested three other times in Pinellas County on domestic battery charges.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
