WYANDOT COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Michael C. Hoy of Marseilles, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal motorcycle crash involving a deer in Wyandot County.
Hoy, 49, was killed in a motorcycle-versus-deer collision near Marseilles Sunday night.
According to reports, Hoy, a Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office Deputy, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Highway 77 near Marseilles, when the bike came into contact with a deer in the road around 9 p.m. Sunday night.
Hoy was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
