BUTLER COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Terry Bolar, of Evans City, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday murder-suicide in Butler County. 46-year-old Charles Smith has been identified as the deceased shooter.

Bolar, 39, was found shot dead inside an Evans City residence on Saturday.

According to reports, police responded to a call of a suicidal man at the West Sunbury Cemetery in Clay Township on Saturday afternoon. When they arrived, Smith was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Bolar was later found dead of gunshot injuries at a home located at, 131 Hillvue Lane in Evans City.

Police said the investigation determined Smith fatally shot Bolar before turning the weapon on himself.

It is unclear how the men knew each other.

A motive in the killing is under investigation.
