LAWRENCE COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Samantha Posey, of Meridianville, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal ATV crash in Lawrence County, Tennessee.
Posey, 19, was killed, and a man was injured, in an ATV crash near Leoma, Tennessee on Saturday night.
According to reports, Posey was riding as a passenger on an ATV operated by 20-year-old Koelton Birdsong, when the vehicle made contact with a tree and rolled over on Kelton Road in Leoma, around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
Birdsong, of Athens, Alabama, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Posey was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Troopers said charges were pending in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
