TIPPECANOE COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Evan Anders of Lafayette, Indiana, has been identified as the teenager killed in a vehicle crash Tuesday night in Tippecanoe County.

Anders, 17, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Lafayette Tuesday night.

According to reports, Anders was operating a Buick Regal on US-52 near CR-700 South, when the vehicle came into contact with a semi-tractor, operated by 30-year-old Joshua Mays, of Crown Point.

The force of the collision tipped the big-rig over onto its side.

Anders was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Mays was transported to an area hospital at a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
