FORSYTH COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Demar Floyd, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night shooting in Forsyth County.
Floyd, 27, was shot dead while at a residence in Winston-Salem Saturday night. Floyd survived gunshot wounds to the back while at the same residence on March 27th.
According to reports, Floyd was on the porch area of a home in the 2000 block of N. Cherry Street near Kimberley Park in Winston-Salem, when suspects drove by the home and opened fire.
Floyd was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene.
Several children were in the home at the time, but none were harmed, according to police.
Police believe the two incidents are connected and said the investigation is still ongoing.
