YORK COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Anne Stout, of Maynard, Massachusetts, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday morning motorcycle crash in York County, Maine.

Stout, 50, was killed while riding as a passenger on a motorcycle operated by Gerald Gibson, 51, of Sanford, Maine, late Saturday morning near Lyman, Maine.

According to reports, Gibson was operating a motorcycle with Stout as his passenger on Old North Berwick Road in Lyman, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The bike then entered a culvert, ejecting Stout.

Stout ws pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Gibson was transported an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The operator of the motorcycle, “Jerry” Gibson, posted to Facebook about the crash:

Both Stout and Gibson were not wearing helmets at the time of the fatal wreck.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
