CLARKE COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Knox Davison Whiten of Toccoa, Georgia, has been identified as the University of Georgia student killed in a hit-and-run collision on Sunday in Clarke County.
Whiten, 21, was killed in a pedestrian-versus-vehicle hit-and-run collision near Athens Sunday.
According to reports, Whiten was on-foot in the area of GA-15 Alt near North Chase Street in Athens, when he was struck by a vehicle then then fled the scene Sunday.
Knox was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
