Gorilla Glue Do ‘Tessica’ GoFundMe ‘Frozen’ On Reports Of Fraud

ST. BERNARD PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — The GoFundMe account of Violet, Louisiana woman, Tessica, has been “frozen,” following her use of a powerful adhesive Gorilla Glue on her hair instead of traditional hairspray.

In the viral video, posted to TikTok, Tessica, explained that her hair had been plastered to her head and her braided ponytail fixed in the same style for about a month. She would later seek the attention of several medical professionals in an effort to remove the sticky substance. Reports say, she is now suing the emergency room she first visited.

Now TMZ is reporting, Tessica’s GoFundMe account has been frozen after the company was flooded with claims of fraud. There are conspiracy theories swerling on social media that Tessica didn’t really Gorilla Glue her hair, and she cooked this all up to milk the Internet for sympathy dough.

Sources with direct knowledge told TMZ the GoFundMe has asked Tessica for an update on where the $23,000 in the account will be donated. We’re told she’s provided that info, and is now waiting for a response.

When she first set up the fundraiser — to cover medical costs — she only asked for $1500, but as the saga dragged on for more than a month, the money kept coming.

In an attempt to remove the glue from her hair, Tessica said she washed the hair 15 times. She also saturated her hair in coconut oil to try to loosen it up, but said nothing worked, according to 11Alive.

Saturday, Tessica said she was seeking help at St. Bernard Parish Hospital’s emergency room after commenting that her head was beginning to hurt.

In another update, followers saw another person helping her remove the glue with sterile water and nail polish remover pads she received from the hospital.

It’s unclear if medical personal were able to loosen the hair.
