SANTA CLARITA, CA. (THECOUNT) — Three people are in critical condition after suffering from burn injuries following an explosion on a movie set Tuesday in Santa Clarita, California Tuesday evening.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department says, the explosion occurred around 4:43 p.m. Tuesday in the 25100 block of Rye Canyon Loop.

The name of the production was not provided as of Tuesday night.

A brush fire erupted as a result from the explosion. The fire was eventually contained.

The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
