CASS COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Corey Wuori, of Walker, Minnesota, has been identified as the suspected DUI driver in a fatal two-vehicle crash Monday in Cass County.

Virginia Stewart, 53, of Longville, Minnesota, was killed in the collision near Turtle Lake Township Monday afternoon.

According to reports, Wuori, 39, was operating a Chevy Silverado pickup truck on State Highway 200 near 44th Ave in Walker, when the vehicle came into head-on contact with a Hyundai Tucson, operated by Stewart around 1 p.m. Monday.

Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Wuori’s passenger, Lavae Oothoudt, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was transported to an area hospital with unknown critical injuries.

Wuori was transported with non-critical injuries.

Officials say, alcohol was later detected in Wuori’s system.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
