ST. MARY’S COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Shannon Danielle Parker, of Piney Point, Maryland, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday multi-vehicle crash in St. Mary’s County.
Parker, 43, was killed in a three-vehicle crash near Piney Point Monday afternoon.

According to reports, Parker was operating a Chevrolet Silverado SUV on MD-249 near Wise Rd 2 in Valley Lee, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 4:20 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Toyota Corolla, operated by Mary Lee Williams, age 19 of Tall Timbers. The SUV then made head-on contact with another SUV, operated by David Wayne Lamb Jr., age 32 of California.
Parker was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The other drivers received minor injuries in the crash.
At this time, speed and reckless driving appear to be contributing factor on the part of the deceased driver.
