PLYMOUTH COUNTY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Joseph Noonan, of Halifax, Massachusetts, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal vehicle crash in Plymouth County.
Noonan, 53, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Duxbury Tuesday night.
According to reports, Noonan was operating a Dodge Ram pickup truck on Winter Street near Autumn Avenue in Duxbury, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 10 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a substantial tree.
Noonan was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
According to sources, icy conditions may have contributed to the cause of the wreck. Police responded to multiple calls of ice related incidents Tuesday night.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
