LEA COUNTY, NM. (THECOUNT) — Gary Marshall, of Mulberry, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday morning vehicle crash in Lea County, New Mexico.
Marshall, 63, was killed in a vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor near Jal New Mexico Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Marshall was operating an SUV on NM-18 near Jal, when the vehicle came into contact with an 18-wheeler around 5 a.m. Wednesday. The SUV then rolled over.
Marshall, who was ejected from the SUV during the collision, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The big-rig driver was not injured in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
