NEW HAVEN COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Ernest Cipolli III, of Wallingford, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal stabbing in New Haven County.

Cipolli, 32, was killed and another man was arrested in a fatal stabbing near Wallingford Saturday night.

According to reports, Kristopher Carlson, 23, of Meriden, stabbed Cipolli numerous times during an apparent argument in the parking lot of the Corner Cafe on Church Street in Wallingford, Saturday night around 10:30 p.m.

Life-saving measures were administered by arriving first responders, but Cipolli died of stab wounds while being transported to an area hospital.

Carlson, who fled the scene, was later located and taken into custody.

Carlson is charged with murder and is being held on a $500,000 bond. He is due in court on March 1.
