YORK COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Geoffrey and Elizabeth Gattis, of Falmouth, Maine, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal vehicle crash in York County Tuesday.
Geoff and Elizabeth, both 68, were killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor near Kittery Tuesday night.
According to reports, the couple were traveling in a Lexus, when the vehicle was rear-ended by a big-rig Tuesday near the Kittery/York line. The Lexus then came into contact with the rear of another semi.
Both occupants of the Lexus were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
