SUFFOLK, VA. (THECOUNT) — Dayquan Eley, of Portsmouth, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash Monday night in Suffolk.

Eley, 28, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Suffolk Monday night.

According to reports, Eley was operating an SUV in the 1600 block of Portsmouth Boulevard, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then came into contact with a guardrail before entering a culvert.

Eley was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
