ELMORE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Tobias George and Miracle Johnson, both of Wetumpka, Alabama, have been identified as the victims in a Tuesday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Elmore County.
George, 28, and 19-year-old Johnson, were both killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash near Wetumpka Tuesday night.
According to reports, George was operating a Hyundai Sonata on Chapel Road near Luther Street in Wetumpka, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then made contact with a tree, rolled over and burst into flames.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt and thermal injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
