MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Noah Skyler Barbee, of Midland, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal New Year’s Eve vehicle crash in Mecklenburg County.
Barbee, 21, was killed, and two others injured, in a two-vehicle head-on crash near Charlotte Thursday night.

According to reports, Barbee was operating a vehicle on Pence Road near Hickory Grove Road, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and made head-on contact with a SUV around 7 p.m. Thursday.
Barbee, who was ejected during the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver and the passenger of the SUV were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
