LITCHFIELD, CT. (THECOUNT) — Elijah David Bertrand has been identified as the suspect sought in the Tuesday night murder of a UPS employee in Litchfield County, Connecticut.
Bertrand, 19, has been named as the suspect in the fatal attack of a UPS driver near Watertown Tuesday.
According to reports, Bertrand, a possible, UPS ‘Helper,’ is boing sought in the murder of a UPS employee near exit 37 along Route 8 in Waterbury.
According to a Facebook post, the driver was fatally stabbed during the attack.
UPS released a statement about the driver’s death on Wednesday morning.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague, and are cooperating with the investigation,” said Matthew O’Connor, media relations, UPS. “Any additional information will need to be provided by local authorities.”
