WOOD COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Bowling Green City Councilman and chemistry professor at Bowling Green State University, Neocles Leontis, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday night vehicle crash in Wood County.
Leontis, 65, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash near Bowling Green Tuesday night.
According to reports, Leontis was operating a vehicle on Highway 25 between Simonds Road and Nims Road in Bowling Green, when the vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday around 6:30 p.m.
Leontis’ wife, Vassiliki Leontis, who was traveling as a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The professor was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
