CHEROKEE COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Bradley Herwig, of Cherokee, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a Monday night fatal vehicle crash in Cherokee County.
Brad Herwig, 50, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Cherokee Monday night.
According to reports, Herwig was operating a Dodge Caravan on US-59 near 555th Street in Cherokee, when the vehicle came into head-on contact with a tractor-trailer head-on around 8:40 p.m. Monday.
The big-rig driver, Oscar De Los Reyes Barrera, 28, of Palmdale, California. Barrera was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
