JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — John Eric Wright, of Fultondale, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday afternoon vehicle crash in Jefferson County.
Wright, 41, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Fultondale Monday afternoon.
According to reports, Wright was operating a Chevrolet Corvette on Carson Road near Indian Valley Road in Fultondale, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 1 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a GMC SUV.
The SUV driver and a child passenger were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
Wright was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
