BARTOW COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Laura Virginia “Ginger” Thompson, of Adairsville, Georgia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday morning vehicle crash in Bartow County.
Thompson, 56, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Adairsville early Thursday.
According to reports, the Cass Middle School teacher was operating a GMC Yukon on GA-140 in Adairsville, when the vehicle came into contact with a cement mixer truck around 7 a.m. Thursday.
Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The truck driver, Jerry Potts, 39, of Fairmount, was not injured in the collision.
The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
