POPE COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — John Gill, of Benson, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday evening fatal vehicle crash in Pope County.
Gill, 56, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Barsness Township Thursday evening.
According to reports, Gill was operating a GMC Sierra pickup truck on 280th St near Co Rd 19, when the vehicle came into contact with a Ford pickup truck around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Gill was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The occupants of the other vehicle were treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
