RICHLAND COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Gary McQuillen, of Mansfield, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal freak accident at a Richland County McDonald’s.
McQuillen, 69, was killed in a freak accident at a Mansfield McDonald’s Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, McQuillen was operating a Ford F-150 pickup truck while in the McDonald’s drive-thru on Trimble Road in Mansfield, when for unknown reasons, he exited the vehicle and was crushed between his vehicle and a pole around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Reports say, McQuillen may have dropped some coins outside of his pickup when he exited the vehicle and somehow became entrapped between his truck and a pole.
McQuillen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
