NEW KENT COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Lynn Maltinsky, of Williamsburg, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Friday afternoon fatal single-vehicle crash in New Kent County.
Maltinsky, 66, was killed in an Interstate 64 single-vehicle crash near Providence Forge Friday afternoon.
According to reports, Maltinsky was operating a pickup truck on I-64 Mile Marker 216 in Providence Forge, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:30 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then made contact with a grouping of trees.
Maltinsky was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
