ALLAMAKEE COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Gary Lee Thomforde, of Redwing, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a single-motorcycle crash in Allamakee County, Iowa on Saturday.
Thomforde, 69, was killed late Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash near Harpers Ferry.
According to reports, Thomforde was operating a Excelsior Super X motorcycle near Harpers Ferry, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The rider was ejected from the bike during the wreck.
Thomforde was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
