TALLAPOOSA COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Jarkia Jarnae Payne, of Dadeville, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night single-vehicle crash in Tallapoosa County.
Payne, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle collision Saturday night near Camp Hill.
According to reports, Payne was operating a Nissan Maxima on AL-50 in Camp Hill, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Payne, who was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
