SAGADAHOC COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Antonio Martinez of Waterville, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal Interstate 295 single-vehicle crash in Sagadahoc County.
Martinez, 22, a Thomas College student, was killed in a crash on I-295 on Sunday night.
According to reports, Martinez was operating a pickup truck on I-295 in Richmond near Gardiner, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over multiple times.
Martinez, who was ejected from the pickup during the wreck, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
