COOPER COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — James Brian Brandl, of Boonville, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle motorcycle collision in Cooper County Sunday afternoon.
Brandl, 59, was killed in a motorcycle-versus-SUV crash Sunday afternoon near boonville.
According to reports, Brandl was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on MO-87 near Eleventh Street around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, when the bike came into contact with an SUV operated by 66-year-old Karen Gately, also of Boonville.
Brandl, who was ejected from the motorcycle during the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Friends and family members took to Facebook to remember Brandl:
Gately was not injured in the collision.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
